Week 21 and going...
During pregnancy week 21 your baby is probably weighing in just over 10 ounces and should be slightly longer than 7 inches! That means your baby is roughly the length of an entire banana by now!

Changes In Your Growing Baby
During pregnancy week 21 your baby's growth slows just a spell as your baby concentrates on developing her organs and central nervous system. Your baby's skin will also continue to mature during pregnancy week 21 and beyond.

What's happening this week in Canadaville?
I am going to attempt to potty train Hailey this week. I think she is ready since she will wake up with a dry diaper, goes to the potty after she poops and didn't like when she was wearing training panties and went pee in them.

Acquire the Fire is coming up! We are excited to help take the youth. Plus I get to see David Crowder again! :)

All about Hailey!

Hailey likes to feed Pedro our cat. Then she doesn't understand when the cat doesn't eat it or eat it all and stands there saying to the cat "Food! Food! Kitty Kitty! Foooooood!!" It is so cute and she just gives me this confused face when I explain to her that the cat is either done eating or isn't hungry. When the cat does eat, Hailey sits there and pets the cat with a huge smile on her face. :)

Hailey loves bubbles. We go in our back courtyard and play with bubbles basically everyday. There have been a few days where the weather was bad all day and we actually brought the bubbles inside the shower (no water running) and played with the bubbles.

Right now Hailey is playing with her kitchen and asking for "Dewy", my sister's dwarf hamster. Nana got Hailey a zhu-zhu hamster which she loves to play with but she definitely know the difference from the real one. Every time she sees Aunt Stephanie it is always "Dewy?!"

Hailey's favorite food is Chick-fil-a nuggets. She also loves apples, pretzel sticks and popcorn. Even after Hailey being in bed for a couple hours at night you will hear over the monitor "Apple? Apple??"

She has learned to say "Thank you" and "Sorry" (among many other things). Hailey has mastered "Please" but we usually have to remind her. She loves babies but doesn't know how to react to a baby crying. I was babysitting for a family that has a baby and when the baby cried, Hailey came over very concerned and said "Sorry! Sorry!" Today in the doctor's office there was a picture of a baby in a magazine crying. Hailey didn't know how to react. I wonder how she is going to react when Aiden cries?

Words Hailey says: (may be boring but I want to document!) Mommy, daddy, Nana, kitty, dog, mouse, fish, cereal, cheerios, color, candy, juice, light, help, orange, blue, chicken, hot, cold, book, Jesus, love you, kiss, play, outside, doll, please, thank you, sorry, food, Ray Ray, poop, up, pen, gabba (Yo gabba gabba show), diaper, Lou (luke), strawberries, banana, apple, sandwich, snack, socks, shoes, bubbles, eye, nose, ear, mouth, brush, teeth, and more!

More than half way through!!

20 Weeks pregnant...
Baby's now the size of a cantaloupe!
Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies respond best to tastes they've already had via amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you'd like your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.

Technically, at 19.5 weeks pregnant I was half way through the pregnancy because I will have my c-section at 39 weeks pregnant.

Hailey points at the ultrasound picture of the Aiden on the fridge and says "Baby!" and kisses the picture. :) I can't wait to see her face when she sees him for the first time. I already have tears in my eyes just thinking about it!

Sean felt Aiden move last night!! He felt four kicks. It seems that Aiden is much more active at night than in the day. I hope this changes as he gets bigger cause I like to sleep at night!

Week 19 of Pregnancy
Your baby's skin now has a protective coating, while you might be hoping for something to protect you from painful leg cramps.
One minute you're lying peacefully in bed and the next your calf muscle feels like it's about to explode. Leg cramps during pregnancy are pretty common (though no one knows exactly what causes them) and tend to strike at night. You might also be wondering about tingling and numbness in your fingers and toes about now. It's a weird sensation but totally normal, probably a result of your body's swelling tissues pressing on nerves. And speaking of weird, have you ever seen a mango dipped in cheese? Well, that's what your baby looks like this week due to a little growth spurt (she's about a half pound in weight and six inches long) and a substance called vernix caseosa. This greasy white stuff covers your baby's skin, protecting it from the surrounding amniotic fluid. (Without it, she'd look totally wrinkled as she entered the world.) The vernix sheds as delivery approaches, though some babies still sport a bit of the coating at birth.

Hailey can be a bit of a challenge at times so we are having some parenting decisions to make on how we are going to discipline. I am looking for a good parenting book. Specifically for toddlers and strong-will/tempers. Have any suggestions?

Tonight is our last night of youth group in the church building. We will start next week having youth group at the Shaw's house. Just trying something new. :)

Easter was a looooooong day but fun time with family. We had church and served on the worship team that day so it was an early start. We had Hailey with us and she definitely didn't like not having all of my attention. When church was over we went to Sean's parent's house and ate outside. That was a very nice and relaxing lunch. Then it was home for Hailey to nap while I did chores and then off to my parent's house for food and an Easter egg hunt. Oh, and did I mention that the day before we went with our neighbors to a church down the road for an Easter egg hunt? I think the kids had fun but the egg hunt lasted maybe one minute. Hailey was excited to get candy though. "Fooooood!!" she said.

It's a......

BOY!!! We are having a little baby boy!! Earlier today we had our first ultrasound and he gave us a very clear picture. :) I don't really have any pictures to share though. The tech was taking all sorts of images of the baby's legs, face, spine, head, full body, everything. Then at the end he quickly said "Oh, do you want a picture?" "YES!!!!" I said. So then he took one of the baby's back and said that is all I get. I asked about the pictures he had already taken showing that it is a boy and he said he can't give me those. That the one he is printing now is all I get. It wasn't even on the shiny picture paper like normal... just on regular copy paper. It was strange and I was bummed and then he kicked us out of there very fast. It was as if we were interrupting his day. Oh well... he looks healthy and that is most important!

Tator tot, you are growing so fast!

Congratulations, Kimberly! You're 17 Weeks Pregnant. Your baby measures about 4.4 to 4.8 inches from crown to rump and has doubled its weight in the last two weeks to about 3.5 ounces. Fat begins to form aiding heat production and metabolism, the lungs are beginning to exhale amniotic fluid, and the circulatory and urinary systems are working. Hair continues to grow on baby's head and his eyebrows and eyelashes are filling in. You're showing more, with an obvious swelling in your lower abdomen. A five- to 10-pound weight gain is typical by now. You also may be noticing an increase in appetite.

I am 17 weeks pregnant! This means tator tot is now the size of a baked potato! The next question is... is tator tot a spud (boy) or french fries (girl)? TBA soon!!!

It has been nice to adjust back to "normal" life being back from the cruise. Though I miss the food, fun and views, it does not compare to spending time with our Hailey bug. She is just the darn-est cutest thing we have ever seen! Today I took her to the play place at the mall. When she sees a kid close to her age, she has this cute smile/grin that she gives. Then goes back to a normal face once the kid looks away. It is hilarious. I bought just a few things for an easter basket for her today. I bought a tiny baby doll that looks like a real baby. I can't wait to give it to her! She LOVES babies.

Hailey will look at you, smile and bat her eyes! I don't know where she got it from but it is adorable. She also will look at you and simultaneously move her eye brows up and down with and smile. Lol... she cracks us up!

She seems to not be affected anymore by being put in time-out. She just sits there and talks and today started taking off her clothes to entertain herself. Looks like I am going to have to figure something else out!

She went to the neighbor's house yesterday and played outside with their little boy. They have a lot of play toys outside including a water/sand table. Hailey loved playing in the sand. It entertained her for a long time. I am very proud of her though... even though she was having a blast, when I said it was time to go, she helped put everything away and told the neighbors "tan tu" which is "thank you" and we left. Such a good girl!

She is so snuggly too! I have heard so much that kids her age won't snuggle but she snuggles, kisses, and just loves to love and be loved on! I am a very, very happy mom about that!

Well, she had a long day and went down for a late nap and it is 4:50 pm and she is still sleeping! I must go wake her up cause her bed time is just a couple hours away.
