Pregos wabble but they don't fall down!

Okay so I think Hailey is dropping. This weekend I have felt her more in my hips and sometimes get a sharp/twingy pain. I think she is already headbanging on my bladder or pelvic nerves! Gah! Sunday Sean and I were at church by 8 AM, got home around 2PM and left home again by 3:30PM to go back to church for band practice and a service. We got out of church a little after 9PM. It was just too long of a day for me. I get braxton hicks contractions quite often but these were really strong and starting to go from the uncomfortable to a little more on the painful side. They were accompanied by some crampy feelings too. It felt good to get home, put my feet up and just relax!

Unfortunately, Sean is going to make me rest more.... bleh, I don't like it. (I'm sneaky though, I'll find my ways, hehe) I tend to be a homebody but I like to keep busy at home. Plus our 4 animals and my hubby keeps cleaning a constant challenge. Not complaining... they keep me on my toes.

We are looking into getting some pregnancy pics done so hopefully I will have some more recent ones up here soon! Also Sean is going to do some final touches to the nursery and I'll have those pics up too!

So it's pretty much a count down now... I just gotta get through July. June went SO fast. I'm thinking as long as I can keep stocked up on watermelon and feed my addiction to the DiscoveryHealth birthing shows I'll be good to go.

Question of the week: In August will I have one kid or two??

Hailey:

Hailey is 32 weeks now! I went to the doctor yesterday and she measured 33 weeks. He says she will probably be around 7.5 pounds. Eeek! I was hoping for a little smaller. Still in the back of my head I think she could be a little smaller... I've only gained 1 pound in the last month and a half. We'll see!

I didn't know my stomach could take so many shapes! It is hilarious when my sister Rachel touches my stomach when Hailey is moving. She screams and jumps up and down and then wants Hailey to do it again. Last night at Red Lobster my mom (Nana) was talking to Hailey and touching my stomach. Hailey gave 3 big kicks right in a row where my mom was touching! Such a smart girl already!

From a website:
The Baby
She's becoming quite a big baby, your little one! She's about 16 inches long and almost 4 pounds now. Your child is so big now that the space in which she moves is very limited. She can't make any more major movements - a final turn-around before she engages, at the most. But she can still prod, push and kick. However, once she engages, she will no longer change her position. Sometimes you can feel the engagement. At that time, you will get a heavy feeling in your vagina and some women have contractions for a brief while. After the baby engages, you will have more air and space in the upper part of the uterus. The lack of pressure on your ribcage is a huge relief - you can take a deep breath for the first time in weeks!

Mom:

I am doing great. Monday was kinda icky cause Hailey was up in my ribs all day but other than that, I have felt really good. It's a little harder to bend over and get things from the floor so if my toes don't work, I call for Sean. He has been great. He cleaned the house yesterday! I generally have an okay time sleeping.. sometimes I get restless. I'm lucky that as much as Hailey moves during the day and sometimes while I'm going to sleep, she doesn't wake me up during the night. I probably wake her up with all my tossing and turning!

Hailey's Dad:

Okay so he is doing great thinking ahead at things he wants to do for Hailey and helping me around the house. He is a great provider and I know will be a wonderful Father figure. Just sometimes it seems that I'm going to have two kids now instead of one. God bless him but I've gotta share this story...

Thursday when I came home from work my husband was home along with Peter Poludniak and Daniel Warner. Peter had just finished up tile work in the master bathroom. (Yay! It's finished!!) Something was suspicious though. They were acting like they had been up to something. I didn't think about it and just put the lighter that was on the table away. (hint hint) I asked Sean why he had one of my huge metal mixing bowls out (seeing if it was dirty or not) and he didn't really come up with an answer. Then my banana was missing. The last one. The one I was going to use for Breuster's cause Thursdays are bring your own banana and get 50% off banana split. Sean doesn't like bananas but I thought "Wow! He ate one! That's great!!"

Come to find out Sean used the banana alright! TO EXPLODE IT!! He said he thought I would have rathered him use the banana than the peach. "Okay so what is the dog toy doing outside?" I asked. They tried exploding it too but it's one of the expensive Kong ones and withheld the blast. He said they took cans and whatnot too. Later I notice the mortar mix is all over the brick and on the new fence Sean just put up. They made a mortar mix cake and put an explosive in the middle of it to see what it would do. I could have told them what it would do!!

Back to reality...

So last night Sean went out with the guys to see the Hulk movie. I had a coupon to Chipotle (one of my fav places!) for a free burrito. Now if you haven't seen Chipotle burritos before, they are massively huge burritos! Anways, I got one and brought it home to eat. Sean and I had plans to go swimming when he got home. I'm finishing off the last bite of this burrito when I thought "Ugh! What am I doing eating this huge burrito when I've gotta get into a swim suit?! My stomach is going to look huge!!" Then I came back to reality and looked at my very round, very out there stomach and realized it's not going to make a difference this time. Lol. Prego blonde moment there!

New term: Pregzilla
Definition: The state some pregnant women may resort to after or beginning at first trimester of pregnancy.

Hailey: She is fabulous! She is defnitely growing and gaining those pounds. I just hope she doesn't gain too many! She is still very active. She had a dance party in my stomach at church today... her dad was awesome on the guitar and the Holy Spirit was moving so strong!

Sean: Awwww..... it's Sean's first Father's Day Daddy To Be Day! I got him this board that you are supposed to be able to surf under water with. (Simple toys entertain him for so long) Neat idea but it didn't work so I'm gonna take it back and get him something else. He is getting more and more excited about Hailey coming. This week we are going to watch a DVD on how to change diapers and swaddle. Sean is absolutely dreading the diapers. He says he has never ever changed one before. Many have volunteered at church to let him practice on their baby but he is pushing it off until he has to. I'm sure it's different when it's your kid too. Girls are easier... just wait until it's a boy and he doesn't get the PeePee TeePee on quick enough! Lol!

Only 10 weeks to go, oh my!

Hailey is doing wonderful. She is 30 weeks now and growing! She moves A LOT! Most of the time it's not just one one spot either but you can see my whole stomach move. The movements are a lot stronger, sometimes uncomfortable when she is trying to poke through my skin! I had a different doctor on Friday. She said Hailey will start doing literal dives and it will make me go "Oh!" and put a lot of pressure on my back and pelvis. More than I feel now?! It's the worst at the end of a long day or in the middle of the night as I flip flop all the time.

I went to the store today to get some things to decorate her nursery. We got letters to put on the wall spelling Hailey's name and I got some stuff to print out a poem and picture frame it for her. We call it the "nursery" but 1/3 of the room is computer/guitar/music/books. It will work for the time being. Babies don't need that much room. We got the glider rocking chair and Pedro (the most beautiful siamese cat, he should be a model!) has claimed it as his post. He is there all the time!

The reality of giving birth is really setting in.... oh my! It's time to start preparations... mental, birth plan, things to help ease the pain, pre-labor exercises (there are some weird ones out there). At this point I totally don't feel ready for labor but it's just one of those things that happen whether I'm ready or not! This lady told me tonight at Target that I shouldn't vaccum because it stimulates labor. Hmmm.... don't know if that's just one of those wives tales. There are so many of those. Maybe once Aug. 12th hits or so I will just vaccum all the time!! Come Aug. 17th (my due date) it's caster oil all the way! I've heard it works.

This video is definitely NOT how I want the birth to go but it's pretty funny. Basically makes fun of what they do in the hospitals.
